Amber King (she/they), MSW, blends skills in communications, human-centered design, somatics, and social work to facilitate community art actions, creative meet-ups, and trainings. Their design-thinking training comes from a background working in user experience research and as an executive assistant to renowned collaboration designer Sunni Brown.
Amber serves on the United for Youth Leadership Team with the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County. They completed their Master of Social Work internships in youth advocacy and programming with the Campaign for Southern Equality and Youth OUTright. They hold a Bachelors of Journalism and Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
